According to the librarians, these artifacts were brought to the library sometime in the past, but no one knows their origins. Despite the fact that they were not catalogued for a long time, the library repaired them and got a custom paulownia-wood box for its safekeeping. In December of 2009, the author was fortunate to examine these documents. One of the documents in this collection, Tibetan translation of Prajñāpāramitā Sutra, caught my attention. Immediately, I decided to conduct an investigation into the collection. I discovered that this collection contains other works: over 20 documents in Tibetan, 2 handwritten copies of sutras in Sanskrit, and 3 handwritten copies of sutras in the Pali language. Furthermore, I figured it out that these works were some parts of the Ekai Kawaguchi's (1866-1945) old archive of literary works.
