内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors affecting Dekasegi (seasonal labor migration) of Noto region, to compare them in 1960 and 1975, and to estimate contiguity of the spatial pattern of Dekasegi. In 1960, the spatial distribution of Dekasegi (farm households rate) of Noto region shows the decreasing pattern from northern part to southern part, and the higher rate areas are Uchiura-machi, Suzu-shi, and Yanagida-mura. The pattern in 1975 was similar to that in 1960, but average rate of Dekasegi farm households changed from 4.55 percent to 8.45 percent. The northern part in Noto region, in particular, was dominated. The Dekasegi may be affected by two kinds of factors. The first factor is concerned with agriculture where the Dekasegi takes place. The second factor is concerned with non-agriculture which presents the absence of the secondary and tertiary employment oppotunities. The spatial variation of Dekasegi would be shown by a combination and an intensity of these factors. The statistical method used here is a step-wise multiple regression analysis. The variables entered in the method are the following retes. A. A dependent variable ① Dekasegi farm households rate B. Seven independnt variables 1) The agricultural factors ② Full time farm households rate ③ Mainly other job farm households rate ④ Operating cultivated land under 0.5 ha. rate ⑤ Selling prices of farm products rate (under 200,000 yen for 1960 and under a million yen for 1975) ⑥ Mechanization rate 2) The non-agricultural factors ⑦ Secondary employees rate ⑧ Tertiary employees rate The application of the above variables to the regression analysis yields some interesting results. The result for 1960 is shown in Table 2. The variables selected in regression equation have accounted for 51.1 percent of the total variance of the Dekasegi farm households rate. The highest standardized partial regression coefficient was the selling prices of farm products rate (0.750). The other variables were the operating cultivated land under 0.5 ha. rate (0.555) and mechanization rate (0.388). These three variables present the agricultural factors. Based on the regression coefficients and combination of the variables, the spatial variation was associated with the smaller farms and the low productivity, which are characteristics in Noto region. The result of the regression analysis for 1975 is shown in Table 3. The four of seven variables were entered in the equation, and accounted for 80.1 percent of the total variance of the Dekasegi farm households rate. These variables were the tertiary employees rate (-0.742),secondary employees rate (-0.686), operating cultivated land under 0.5 ha. rate (0.772) and full time farm households rate (-0.338), which are composed of both the non-agricultural and agricultural factors. Therefore, the spatial variation of Dekasegi during 1960 and 1975 resulted from the change of the influence from only the agricultural factors to both factors. Finally, the residual patterns of the Dekasegi farm households rate obtained from the regression equations for 1960 and 1975 are shown in Figure 3. They show that the spatial pattern of Dekasegi are affected by contiguity.
