| 内容記述 | In this study, our aim was to clarify the relationship between personality and academic procrastination among university students. Based on the Academic Procrastination Scale developed by Kameda & Furuya（ 1996）, new four scales（ academic task aversiveness, procrastination, loss of organization, and behavioral failures） were designed. New scales, Big Five Inventory, Multidimensional Self-oriented Perfectionism Scale and Multidimensional Optimism Assessment Inventory were administered to 150 university students. Hypotheses were formulated to test the relationship. Multiple regression analysis showed that conscientiousness negatively predicted academic task aversiveness, procrastination, loss of organization and behavioral failures, and openness to experience negatively predicted academic task aversiveness. A path analysis revealed that Neuroticism positively correlated with“ Concern over Mistakes” which positively predicted academic task aversiveness. Neuroticism also showed the negative correlation with“ Optimistic View on Abilities” indirectly related to procrastination. |

| 内容記述 | 本研究の目的は大学生の学業遅延傾向と性格との関係を明らかにすることである。学業遅延を測定するために、亀田・古屋（1996）の尺度を再構成して、課題特性を示す勉強嫌悪、結果を示す行動失敗、遅延傾向を示す遅延行動、計画実行性欠如の４ 尺度を作成した。大学生150名に対して新学業遅延尺度、ビッグ５ 尺度、新完全主義尺度（MSPS）、多面的楽観性測定尺度（MOAI）が実施された。重回帰分析とパス解析の結果、誠実性が勉強嫌悪、遅延傾向、行動失敗に、経験への開放性が勉強嫌悪に負の影響を与えていた。また、神経症傾向は完全主義下位尺度のミスを過度に気にする傾向（CM）に正の影響を与え、CM は勉強嫌悪を高めていた。神経症傾向は楽観主義下位尺度の楽観的な能力観に負の影響を及ぼし、外的要因への期待が遅延傾向に正の影響を及ぼしていた。 | |||||||||
